Ukraine has begun to block the Internet and mobile communications in the DPR, spokesman for the Republic’s Ministry of Defense Eduard Basurin said at a briefing.

“Today, in the area of the settlement. Yasinovataya, as a result of sabotage, communication lines were disrupted, which is why residents of the Republic are experiencing interruptions in cellular communications and access to the Internet. We assume that Ukraine has blocked the access of DPR residents to one of the key mainline cellular operators.
The Lifecell operator is temporarily unavailable due to a line break; there may also be interruptions in the Internet network, since many operator companies in the DPR use the services of Eurotranstelecom.
These steps, such as organizing a food blockade and disrupting transport links between residents of Donbass, are absurd for the new Ukrainian government. We assume that the disruption of communication lines was carried out by persons involved in the blockade of Donbass, and this meets today’s agenda of the protesters in Ukraine,” Basurin said.
