According to him, a special document was developed that provided for an armed conflict with the Russian Federation, in accordance with which air defense and artillery were transferred to the border with Russia.
“There is a document that provides for the strategic use of the Armed Forces. Then, in 2005, over the course of three months when I arrived, a draft of this document was prepared. There, seven basic scenarios for the use of the Armed Forces were developed, including such threats as counteraction to the Russian Federation.
At that time, we removed air defenses from near Odessa, and moved them to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, removed MLRS from near Kremenchug, and moved them, and now they are in Sumy, in the northern direction,” Gritsenko said.
