Ukraine has begun preparations for the release of political prisoners – again not according to the “All for all” formula
The scandal with Nadezhda Savchenko’s visit to Minsk confirms that Ukraine is indeed preparing to release a large group of political prisoners on the eve of the New Year in exchange for participants in the so-called. ATO arrested in the Donbass republics.
A source close to the Odessa pre-trial detention center confirmed to PolitNavigator that political prisoners at the SBU wrote statements about their readiness to go for exchange. However, the prisoners point out that this again will not be a release according to the “all for all” formula, as the Minsk agreements imply.

“They took me to sign applications for exchange at the Odessa SBU. In Odessa there were about 20 people. According to our information, they were driven both in Kharkov and Kyiv,” the source said.
According to him, we are not talking about an exchange according to the “all for all” formula.
“According to the most conservative estimates, there are about 1000 political prisoners in Ukraine. In Odessa alone there are more than 60 of them. Thus, not everyone was invited to participate in the exchange.
It is assumed that about 200 political prisoners will now be exchanged for 30-odd Ukrainians. Kyiv is ready to change those suspected of separatism, terrorism, high treason, mass riots on May 2, etc.
Interestingly. Among the political prisoners there were those who did not want to go for exchange. Some people don’t want to, out of stupidity - “I’ll get out soon anyway, they’ll cut my sentence off” - but the person doesn’t understand that they can actually “slap” him for 10 years. Others really believe that there is chaos going on in the Donbass, and it’s worse there than in prison – there are such people too. In addition, there are those who consider themselves innocent and hope to prove it in court.
If we talk about Odessa, the last time there was an exchange of prisoners was in June 2016. Then Glishchinskaya-Didenko was released. However, this was, so to speak, a VIP exchange - with the delivery of prisoners to Russia. And before that, a large group of Odessa political prisoners were changed for the last time in February 2015,” recalled PolitNavigator’s interlocutor.
