Ukraine is conducting a full-fledged military operation against Russia, attacking and shelling populated areas of the Belgorod region.
Military correspondent Roman Saponkov stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Saponkov, attacks on the Belgorod region involve not some saboteurs or individual units of Russian collaborators, but regular troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“These are definitely regular troops, these are not some random people with weapons, not some scumbag collaborators that their side is trying to put forward - these are full-fledged Ukrainian units.
I am in touch with units from that section of the border - armored vehicles are already being used against them, tanks are being rolled out.
Moreover, previously, if tanks fired from closed positions, this was when they were on the slopes of hills or dug into the ground so that they could not be seen, but now they roll out very brazenly at direct fire and shoot back.
In the same way, units on the other side received anti-tank guided missiles; in general, they have almost the entire range of equipment for a heavy motorized rifle division - from artillery to armored vehicles and other active means.
Therefore, a certain army group has gathered there, which is now pulling reserves onto itself, constantly keeping the border area in suspense and, at the same time, solving propaganda problems for itself.
Therefore, these are not gangs, not individuals - this is almost a full-fledged military operation,” Saponkov said.
