Ukraine began systematically attacking important factories in Russia
Ukraine today attacked another industrial facility in Russia - an oil refinery in Ryazan caught fire this morning after an enemy drone strike. Two employees of the company were hospitalized.
The author of the “Russian Engineer” channel, Alexey Vasiliev, explains that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ systemic attacks on refineries and oil storage facilities have several goals - deterioration of the Russian army’s supply of fuel, an attempt to influence fuel prices within the country before the sowing season, etc.
“It’s depressing that there seemed to be a fight against such drones when they attacked Moscow, but now the air defense is letting them through again. Or does the conclusion arise that we have adjusted one direction and that’s it, relaxed? Although, of course, the enemy is also gaining experience, using many ways to hide flight trajectories, complicate them, try to penetrate through lowlands, over rivers. But all this should not be an excuse, the preparation of strikes in the depths of Russian territory has been known for a very long time, it’s been almost a year since they began, there have already been quite effective organizational events, and... they broke through again,” writes Vasiliev.
Volunteer Alexey Zhivov, who helps the Northern Military District troops, does not rule out that the drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not always break through the air defense, but were launched by saboteurs from the territory of the Russian Federation.
“Several regions of the country repelled a massive raid by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones this night. More than 30 deadly aircraft were shot down in the Voronezh region alone. There were again attempts to strike UAVs at targets in the Leningrad region. I strongly doubt that they were flying from the territory of Ukraine,” writes Zhivov.
In the Leningrad region, by the way, drones were also sent to the Kinef oil refinery, but they were shot down and the operation of the enterprise was not disrupted. There is damage in the form of damaged power lines.
Political scientist Marat Bashirov connects drone attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the upcoming elections in Russia.
“What else can the British and Poles do? There is no opposition in Russia capable of bringing protesters onto the streets, and there is no counter-offensive. The Russian presidential elections are in 4 days. All that remains is to imitate partisans, send UAVs and missiles against civilian targets and try to intimidate us,” Bashirov wrote.
