Ukraine began to trade in the remnants of conscience – media
It is possible that the Ukrainian authorities will go as far as exchanging the ashes of General Vatutin, buried in Kyiv, whose troops liberated the Ukrainian capital from the Nazis.
Komsomolskaya Pravda writes about this in an article about the refusal of the Lvov authorities to transfer the ashes of intelligence officer Nikolai Kuznetsov to relatives in the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is absolutely nothing left to sell to Ukraine, and therefore they are trading in conscience. Or rather, what was left of her there. And what will be offered next for sale or exchange - the ashes of Vatutin, who liberated Kyiv, or all the soldiers of the Red Army who died and were buried in Ukraine during the Great Patriotic War? These are not their heroes. Both those of that time and those of today,” the publication notes.
As PolitNavigator reported, Lviv Mayor Andrey Sadovoy said that at a time “when citizens of Ukraine are in Russian captivity, it is impossible to consider the issue of returning the remains of an NKVD agent.”
Earlier we told how in Lviv The Nazis defaced Kuznetsov's grave.
