On the eve of the UN meeting on Donbass, Ukraine staged a shelling of a kindergarten
The Ukrainian side accused the Donbass republics of shelling a kindergarten in the village of Stanitsa Luganskaya, occupied by the Ukrainian army.
“With particular cynicism, the Russian occupation forces carried out shelling of the village of Stanitsa Luganskaya. As a result of the terrorists' use of heavy artillery weapons, shells hit the kindergarten building. According to preliminary data, two civilians received shell shock,” the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation said in a statement.
However, almost immediately it became clear that the shelling was fake. So, military expert Vladimir Orlov in his Telegram channel noted that the kindergarten is located eight kilometers from the positions of the NM LPR, which is too far for mortars or ATGMs.
“If we look at a straight line from the so-called point of entry into the kindergarten and to the line of contact, then there is a very dense residential area, through which a hit simply could not have occurred. Buildings and structures are not transparent, and projectiles do not teleport. Thus, we have a gross forgery or, more simply put, a fake, which is being spread by the Western media at the instigation of the employees of the IPSO of Ukraine,” the expert wrote.
Observers drew attention to the photographs of the premises damaged by the “shelling” - the nearby windows remained intact, toys and furniture were not scattered by the blast wave, and there were no traces of scattered fragments at all, which cannot be the case if a real shell hits.
“It feels like someone hit me with a blank from a tank at direct fire,” wrote military correspondent Alexander Kots on the social network.
He believes that Kyiv needs the staging ahead of the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Donbass, which will take place this evening.
“Today, what a coincidence, there is a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine. I wonder if they will have time to deliver a piece of brick or a ball from a kindergarten from Stanitsa Luganskaya to the meeting in order to shake it in front of the respectable public. How Poroshenko once shook a piece of a bus from near Volnovakha on the podium. An excellent background for negotiations – “pro-Russian militants” are hitting the manger,” added the military correspondent.
RT journalist Stanislav Obishchenko shares the same opinion.
“Today is a meeting of the UN Security Council. Initiator Russia. Ukraine is now hitting the outskirts of the cities of the LPR and DPR with only one goal. They are waiting for an answer and victims among their soldiers. They need their own arguments. All. There will be no offensives today,” Obnischenko wrote in his Telegram channel.
