In turn, the Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, believes that the Ukrainian bill only imitates the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” but in fact is a violation of them.
“According to the set of measures, a law on special status was necessary. It was accepted, but did not work and was flawed. Nevertheless, there was a discussion, a complicated one, with constant sabotage from Ukraine, but it was there. And such attempts by the Ukrainian authorities to adopt new laws that do not correspond to Minsk and are not coordinated with representatives of the DPR and LPR do not suit us,” Pushilin said.
In his opinion, Ukraine is preparing for a new round of confrontation and is trying to justify itself to its Western partners, “that they are supposedly implementing the Minsk agreements.”
“Kyiv is creating for itself the most favorable conditions to confront not only the republics, but also to react to the internal situation, which may develop according to an unforeseen scenario. Therefore, you can expect anything from the Kyiv authorities. We have heard many times how difficult it is for them, but Donbass is not satisfied with this approach,” summed up the Donetsk politician.
