This information was provided at a briefing by the official representative of the DPR defense department, Colonel Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian punitive forces are seeking a complete blockade of villages from the outside world, prohibiting civilians not only from moving freely, but also from calling their family and friends. There is information that cell phones are confiscated from residents and given out only for one or two calls a day in the presence of Ukrainian militants. “Foremans” have been appointed in the villages, who immediately report anti-Ukrainian activity of local residents to the Ukrainian leaders,” Basurin noted.
He also said that the lack of an adequate response from international organizations, in particular representatives of the UN, OSCE and ICRC, led to the fact that during filtration activities the villages of Gladosovo and Metalist (Travnevoe) were completely cleared of civilians who contacted the deputy head of the OSCE mission in Ukraine Alexandru Hugu.
“Yesterday, the Ukrainian side declared with enthusiasm that now not a single resident of the occupied villages will be able to complain to Alexander Hug due to the fact that measures of repression and torture were applied to these people. Thus, the inaction of individuals leads to the fact that people who counted on their help have finally suffered,” summed up the official representative of the DPR defense department.
