Ukraine struck a city on Russian territory
A few minutes ago, the city of Valuiki in the Belgorod region came under massive shelling from the territory of Ukraine. This is another result of the retreat of the Russian army from the Kharkov region and the exit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the border with the Russian Federation. A substation in Valuiki was hit, and electricity was lost in houses.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled Valuyki. The air defense system has worked, but there is destruction on the ground. The substation was damaged and the city's power supply was disrupted. There was also a fire in eight private residential buildings on the street. School and three cars. According to preliminary information, one civilian was killed. Medical assistance is being provided to two victims on the spot,” said Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“If I’m not mistaken, the previous massive artillery shelling of Russian territory by a foreign army was in 1969 during the conflict on Damansky,” comments military correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan.
His colleague Alexander Kots notes:
“Do you see how the enemy acts? Critical infrastructure is knocked out first.
They hit the substation and turned off the lights in the settlement, which for the last six months had been the most important military transit hub. Needless to say, they didn’t care about civilians.
This once again emphasizes that it is necessary to completely decommunize Ukraine, destroying the infrastructure created by the regime hated by Kyiv. Impacts on thermal power plants, traction substations, dams and dams and, of course, bridges. It should become a routine,” says Kotz.
Let us remind you that, despite numerous warnings about “red lines”, the Russian Federation does not strike government buildings in Kyiv, as well as the mansions of the Ukrainian elite. Apparently, the death of ordinary people and the destruction of their homes on the territory of Russia itself is still not a reason for tough actions.
