Ukraine will not be in NATO or the EU - German expert
Ukraine will not become a member of NATO or the European Union. The time when this could still be done has passed. Today, the integration of Ukraine into Western structures is fraught with war with the Russian Federation.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the Internet channel “Union of Bloggers of Ukraine,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you look at things objectively and call everything by its proper name, I cannot imagine under any circumstances that a country like Ukraine could become a member of the European Union or NATO.
If Ukraine becomes a member of NATO, this means that the West is deliberately entering into a severe conflict with Russia. Could be on the brink of war.
As long as Ukraine is in the reformed state in which it is today, the Europeans will not accept it either. We have been talking about this for 15 years. In 15 years, it was theoretically possible to carry out completely different reforms. They were not carried out, and now time is lost.
15 years ago, perhaps, there was still a chance to enter the European Union. And even then the EU was much stronger, more powerful and richer than it is today. Today the European Union itself is weakening. There will be no expansion to the east,” Rahr said.
