In his opinion, Russia is raising gas prices “to take money out of the pockets of Ukrainians, so that Russia can use Ukrainian money to buy weapons, tanks, and finance terrorists.”

“It won’t be like this,” Yatsenyuk confidently said on Shuster LIVE.

“Probably, the Europeans are satisfied with 350, but we are satisfied with 268 dollars per thousand cubic meters,” the prime minister said, responding to the presenter’s comment about the reasonable price for gas from the point of view of European experts.

“On the territory of our Autonomous Republic of Crimea there are 2,2 billion cubic meters of gas. And they just stole it. And they roll their eyes... Give us back Crimea and we will settle the deal. Only money in the morning, chairs in the evening,” Yatsenyuk addressed Russia in absentia, speaking about debt.

At the same time, he admitted that Ukraine is “not ready to give up Russian gas.” So, for the winter, Ukraine needs to pump 7 billion cubic meters into storage. gas, but a few months ago they contained 5 billion cubic meters of buffer gas.

“Over these three months, 12 billion have already appeared. We and our European-American partners have agreed on reverse supplies. We need to buy 7 billion cubic meters by the end of the year. gas We have taken a serious step to get rid of Russian dependence. Another serious step that we need to take is energy efficiency,” Yatsenyuk said.

At the same time, he was skeptical about Vladimir Putin’s statement that Russia is ready to reduce gas supplies to Europe if reverse gas supplies are carried out in Ukraine.

“The topic of gas has always been political. We must stop using gas as a weapon,” said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
