Ukraine cannot find the required number of nationalists for its army
The work of mobile groups to select candidates for military service under contract in April-June 2018 was recognized by the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a failure.
The official representative of the People's Militia Department (UNM) of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The commanders did not fulfill the established scope of selection of candidates for military service under a contract, determined by the headquarters of the Vostok operational command. In this regard, the regional military commissariats of Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov and Kherson regions have been tasked with ensuring in 2018 activities for the selection of candidates for contract military service in the amount of at least 850 people,” Basurin said .
According to him, candidates are selected not only according to physical, but also ideological parameters.
“Particular attention is paid to preventing the conclusion of contracts with persons who lack ideological and nationalist convictions, as well as those prone to manifestations of separatism, having connections in the Russian Federation, in the occupied territories, etc.” – said Eduard Basurin.
