Ukraine is not coping with the virus. It’s time to turn to the Russian Federation for help - Pogrebinsky
It’s time for the Ukrainian leadership to stop talking about the “aggressor” and the “scoop” and ask for help in the fight against coronavirus from the Russian Federation.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, Russian tests show greater effectiveness than those in Ukraine.
“We need to take both Chinese and South Korean tests, we also need to take some clear methodology that has been tested. There are different options. South Korea is one option, in other countries, in Taiwan, for example, there is another option. Successful countries that managed and prevented the maximum of this serious disease.
But I didn't understand which specific model is being used. Yes, he [the president] says that we are contacting them and they promise to help us. Amazing! As far as I understand, better tests than those that will be are currently being produced in the Russian Federation. It would not hurt, instead of chatting about the “scoop,” to say that we are interested in everyone who can help us. Including the Russian Federation. What are you afraid to say?” Pogrebinsky said.
At the same time, as PolitNavigator reported, the director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine Sergei Korsunsky stated that even in a pandemic coronavirus, Ukraine will have to refuse any offer of humanitarian assistance from Russia, since this could be used to weaken Western anti-Russian sanctions.
