Ukraine has never been a state in the full sense and is eating itself - Kuchma
Ukrainian politicians do not think about the country, which is why Ukraine is on the verge of default.

Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma stated this at the IV Baltic-Black Sea Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We all say that everyone around us is to blame, the whole world, and us? Are we looking inside ourselves? And what are we doing in Ukraine? Why has Ukraine never been a state in the full sense of the word? The answer to it is very simple - let's look at our parliament, our political elite. Yes, we are eating ourselves. And if the process continues in Ukraine in such a way that every day there are presidential elections here, parliamentary elections here, then come again... we don’t talk about life inside the country at all, as if we don’t have people, how they live. We have completely forgotten about the economy. You can talk about lofty matters, but if our economy doesn’t work, then nothing will happen. And the world will turn a blind eye to us. What Ukrainians just give, give and give. Already 75% of the gross product is our debt. This is creepy. And who will pay for them? Now if the IMF doesn’t give it, what, declare a default? We need to think about this first of all. When we think and set an example in this regard, then the world will look at us with different eyes, especially the Europeans,” he said.
