Loud Kyiv's statements about occupying most of the “gray zone” near the front line in Donbass by no means guarantee a military victory for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Retired DPR army soldier Igor Nemodruk told PolitNavigator about this.

If they decide to attack, then occupying neutral territory will not play any role,” Nemodruk assured.
He recalled that the adviser to the Ukrainian president, Yuri Biryukov, who voiced a loud statement, has long been notorious. According to press reports, in the past he turned out to be the owner of an escort agency and a embezzler of army funds.
“He is a known liar, so there is no point in attaching special importance to his words. He is closely connected with Poroshenko and the Minister of Defense. His position directly depends on Poroshenko: if he leaves, Biryukov will be swept away, and he will lose everything - even prison, so this is nothing more than pre-election populism,” Nemodruk emphasized.

“On the other hand, an open admission of violation of the Minsk agreements suggests that Ukraine has become insolent to such an extent that it is no longer afraid of anything and is not embarrassed by anyone, and this is being done with the complete connivance of the world community, which does not react to this in any way and will not react. it will be,” Bezruchko added.
