Next year, the Ukrainian economy will not be able to recover from the losses incurred last year and the year before.

This was stated by the executive director of the International Blazer Foundation Oleg Ustenko, whose opinion was quoted by the Kiev magazine “Correspondent”.
“Next year, the Ukrainian economy is unlikely to be able to change its economic growth model and move away from the export-oriented model, on the basis of which it has tried to develop and live throughout virtually its entire independence. In 2017, we will show economic growth of around 2%, which, unfortunately, is completely insufficient for a country that fell by 17% in 2014-2015. At such rates of economic growth, Ukraine will remain one of the poorest, if not the poorest, countries in Europe. GDP per capita will be slightly higher than $2 thousand, which will increase the migration outflow from Ukraine,” the expert predicts.
