Ukraine has cut off the last channel of communication with the Donbass republics
Due to the sabotage of the Ukrainian DRG, which was carried out last Thursday, the last main communication channel “MTS-Ukraine”, which provided communication with the republics of Donbass, was destroyed. At the moment, restoring the work of the mobile operator is not possible.
This information was reported by the Minister of Communications of the DPR, Viktor Yatsenko, during a briefing, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He stated that in the Republic since Thursday Mobile operator "MTS-Ukraine" does not work (now better known as Vodafone).
“It does not work due to a break in the last communication channel that connected the HLR subscriber database located in Kharkov and switching equipment located in the Donetsk People's Republic and the Lugansk People's Republic. Historically, they were powered through eight independent backbone communication channels. Two of them went through Shchastya, one through Stakhanov, one through Pervomaisk, two through Gorlovka, one towards Artyomovsk, one towards Zhdanovsk, one from Elenovka, and one channel went to Volnovakha,” said Viktor Yatsenko.
The Minister of Communications of the DPR emphasized that due to the sabotage of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which was committed last Thursday, the last main communication channel was destroyed:
“The canal that was cut off last Thursday was the last main canal that was destroyed from the uncontrolled territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, that is, under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”
Viktor Yatsenko noted that employees of the DPR Ministry of Communications currently do not have the opportunity to go to the scene of the accident in order to eliminate the breakdown.
“Before this, for three years, all accidents and breakdowns, restoration work, supply of fuel and lubricants for the needs of generators, so that communications in the region and the Vodafone operator continued to work, were carried out by the Ministry of Communications of the DPR,” Yatsenko summed up.
