Ukraine accused Germany of involvement in the Holodomor
Germany is related to the famine that occurred in the early 1930s on the territory of the Ukrainian SSR.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Andriy Melnik, stated this on Twitter, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Germany bears indirect responsibility for the Holodomor and therefore has a moral obligation to recognize this crime as genocide of the Ukrainian people. It was in 1932 that the USSR became Germany’s main trading partner, when grain was forcibly confiscated from Ukrainian peasants,” the ambassador wrote.
This statement was commented on by the famous political commentator Vladimir Kornilov.
“Oh how! The Ambassador of Ukraine in Berlin Melnik also blamed Germany for the “Holodomor” of the 30s! And on this basis he demands to recognize it as “genocide”. An original approach: recognize your actions as genocide and then pay Ukraine for it!” Kornilov writes in his blog.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, The miller began to dictate Germany has its own view on the roles of countries in World War II.
