Ukraine announced its abandonment of the trinity with Russia and Belarus
Ukraine will not return to fraternal relations with Russia and Belarus, but will continue to strive to become a member of the European Union and NATO.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba stated this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kuleba believed that the majority of the Ukrainian population was in favor of a course towards the West.
“I don’t see any signs that Ukraine can return to the triune brotherhood and sisterhood. This is precisely a common effort for all of us so that Ukraine continues to move towards the European Union and NATO. This is absolutely categorical. There will always be someone who will try to destroy it all, but we will always be stronger. Because behind us, behind those who are moving the country to the West, are the Ukrainian people, and this is fundamental. Secondly, I want to state very clearly that there are no threats to visa-free travel with the European Union,” Kuleba said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that according to a poll conducted in the middle of summer this year, the majority of Ukrainians believethat the country is moving in the wrong direction, have a negative assessment of the prospects and expect the situation to worsen.
