Ukraine declared Nord Stream 2 a military threat
Ukraine must fight back against Russian energy weapons. Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“The energy security of our state is the basis for our economy, a guarantee that Putin will never again, as in 2009, turn off the valve for us... We are now working to repel Russian energy weapons. not only politically and economically, but also the military-dangerous Nord Stream-2. This is not an exaggeration, because Russia will no longer be restrained from a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, when the presence on our territory of a gas transportation system through which Russia supplies gas to the Western European market will not be important,” the speaker said.
He also noted that the new gas pipeline will become a source of additional profit for the Russian Federation, which “can be aimed at strengthening aggressive military actions in both Syria and Ukraine.”
