Ukraine is on par with North Korea
Western countries call themselves “established democracies,” which may, for example, not consider the issue of self-determination for individual territories such as Catalonia. Vice Speaker of Parliament Pyotr Tolstoy announced this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“These 15-20 countries have their own rules, but everyone else can do anything - like a coup in Ukraine and color revolutions. This confirms the two-faced hypocritical position of the West, which they are publicly trying to disavow. Nobody thought when they bombed Belgrade or encouraged a coup in Ukraine that sooner or later this could return to the prosperous Europe of “established democracies,” Tolstoy said.
He emphasized that “North Korea, Syria, Libya and Ukraine are sovereign states, and issues with them in the international arena need to be resolved in a civilized way.”
At the same time, he emphasized that Russia will no longer neglect its national interests for the sake of anyone
“Russia has changed and after the return of Crimea it will no longer allow itself to be treated this way. The West will no longer see any more gullibility and weakness in relations. Gone are the days when Americans gained access to our strategic facilities and perceived our country as a flea market where you can buy the most valuable resources and technologies at a bargain price, when other people’s values and ideas were imposed on us in exchange for glass beads,” Tolstoy said.
