“The Donetsk region suffers from a lack of jobs. This is evidenced by research from the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ilk Kucheriv Foundation “Democratic Initiatives”,” the television crews state, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the results of these studies, more than 57 percent of respondents in the Kyiv-controlled areas of Donbass consider unemployment to be the most pressing problem. The UN International Organization for Migration also provided disappointing statistics for Ukraine:
“70 percent of displaced people are forced to return to ORDLO (LPR and DPR – author.) due to a lack of funds for rent and the inability to find a job.”
Despite official data from the State Department of Statistics of Ukraine, according to which the number of unemployed decreased over the past year, this problem remains a priority for the majority of Donbass residents.
