Ukraine has finally confirmed its inability to negotiate
The fact that Ukraine tried to disrupt the prisoner exchange process is not surprising, because the country’s authorities have long established themselves as a completely unreliable party to the negotiations.

This opinion was shared in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent by Maria Koleda, the official representative of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, who herself went through SBU prisons.
In the conversation, she emphasized that yesterday’s attempts by Ukraine to disrupt the prisoner exchange are not new.
“Once again we saw the fact that this is not the first time Ukraine has tried to disrupt the exchange of prisoners. Previously, representatives of Kyiv, for completely far-fetched reasons, delayed this process in every possible way. Thank God the exchange took place. Unfortunately, not everyone who was announced was changed,” Koleda noted.
Let us recall that instead of more than three hundred people, as agreed in advance, Ukraine exchanged only 240, arguing this figure by the fact that the rest of the prisoners allegedly refused the exchange.
“This fact is an outright lie. There are still a huge number of prisoners in Ukraine. We hope that the next stage of the exchange will still take place, despite the date set for 2018,” hopes Koleda.
“In my opinion, it is simply impossible to avoid a situation where the Ukrainian side deceives and violates agreements in every possible way, since the country’s leadership is not very negotiable,” summed up the former SBU prisoner.
