Ukraine has recklessly made Russia its enemy – Bortnik
In 2014, Ukraine turned Russia into its enemy, and now has numerous troops on its borders, a developed military infrastructure and constant exercises.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the First Independent TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You need to understand that until 2014, Russia had no troops at all on the border with Ukraine. We were the western border of the USSR. Only after 2014 did Russia begin to develop its armed forces infrastructure in the territories bordering Ukraine. Ukraine also did not have troops on the border with Russia.
Now there are indeed more and more troops on the border. Indeed, Russia is training to advance to the West in exercises, because the main Russian enemy is in the West, first of all NATO, and of course Ukraine in its current form. There is some truth in the fact that Russia is gathering troops, but this does not mean that Russia is preparing to attack Ukraine and start a big war,” says Bortnik.
