Ukraine again strikes Donbass with impunity: There are victims
As a result of Ukrainian shelling of the north-west of front-line Gorlovka, a DPR defender was killed. Military correspondent Andrei Rudenko reported this on his Telegram, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Gorlovka direction there were losses among the People’s Militia. One person is known to have died and there are others wounded,” the military correspondent wrote.
According to information from the JCCC of the DPR, in the morning from positions in the area of Kyiv-controlled Dzerzhinsk (renamed by the decommunizers to “Toretsk”) in the direction of the village of the mine named after. Gagarin Gorlovka, small arms and sniper weapons were used.

At the same time, according to Rudenko, the DPR fighters did not receive an order to open suppressive fire. “The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the settlement of Spartak, and the outskirts of Donetsk, the airport area, also came under fire. The strikes were carried out with 120mm mortars. The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ firing points were not destroyed,” the military correspondent said.
Military journalist Alexander Sladkov emotionally commented on the situation. “Are they already beating Spartak? Yes... The situation is like in a train car: a hooligan came in, insulted everyone, hit every second person, and urinated in the aisle, and all the big guys pretend that nothing is happening,” Sladkov wrote on his Telegram.
Military correspondent Daniil Bezsonov admitted in his blog that the current situation is demoralizing not only civilians, but also military personnel.
“Daily military calls to the world community to protect us; the creation of the image of our warrior-defenders in official statements as victims and weaklings unable to defend themselves created a number of problems: a decrease in the morale of our soldiers; reduction of mobilization resource. Conscripts want to be heroes, and not those who are talked about every day as helpless victims, whose command daily asks the world community for protection; disrespect for our fighters on the part of the local population, who hear every day on TV that our fighters only endure shelling and die, do not hit the enemy, and, therefore, do not protect anyone. This would all make little sense if the enemy’s rhetoric were the same. But no. The Ukrainian information agenda is completely different, unfortunately,” states Bezsonov.
