Ukraine remained the only country that complies with all IMF requirements
The Ukrainian economy continues to slide into the abyss, and at the same time the country is already giving away a third of its income to creditors.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would really like to say something very life-affirming and say that in the fall we will see the end of the era of poverty, but no. Unfortunately, prices will rise in the fall. Once again, in addition to gas, the price of electricity will increase, and at the end of the year - for water, the number of unemployed will increase. Industrial production will fall again, GDP will decrease, we will continue to give every third hryvnia to our creditors, internal and external, and so on. We are slowly sliding into chaos, into the abyss. This slide will continue,” the lawyer said.
The authorities could agree to write off debts, but they put the interests of creditors above the well-being of their citizens.
“Uncles who hold a block of shares in the state of Ukraine provide themselves with legitimacy. And if these guys want to make money and demand that everything be returned to them, then you sit and return it, because you made such a decision - to deceive the voter, refuse to carry out the election program and play with the guy.
Not a single country in the world gives away every third unit of currency, or now gives it away as debt. Argentina just recently refused to pay external private creditors. Everyone. They were forgiven 45 percent of the debt. The same thing - she said hello to the big IMF, and judging by Lagarde’s reaction, they are ready for another technical default.
You can call this procedure whatever you like, but the money will remain in Argentina and will not go to the IMF. That's all. These countries (have) easier debt repayment times. I looked at this statement by the IMF, these are mainly African countries, but there is Tajikistan.
That is why the leadership of Tajikistan entered into a discussion with the IMF, put forward its demands and received a write-off of part of the debts, while the state of Ukraine keeps saying “what do you want? Take it! What else do you want? Do you want the prosecutor's office? Do you want NABU? Say what you want - land, banks. We’ll give you everything, please!” summarized Elena Lukash.
