Ukraine left Lugansk without water

Due to an accident at the Petrovsky water pipeline, which is located in the territory of Donbass, temporarily controlled by Kyiv, the water supply to the city of Lugansk was stopped.

This was reported on the official website of the State Enterprise “Luganskvoda”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On July 26 at 02:30 on the Ukrainian side there was an accident on the Petrovsky water pipeline D - 900 mm. For this reason, the water supply from the Petrovskaya pumping station to the city of Lugansk has been stopped. As a result, the water supply to the city of Lugansk will be reduced by 15-20%. Water will be supplied to consumers according to the schedule approved for such cases,” the statement says.

Water supply to the villages of the Slavyanoserbsky district, connected from the Petrovsky water intake, will be carried out in reverse mode from city sources according to a schedule agreed with the Slavyanoserbsky district administration.

“During the switching of consumers to the internal water supply scheme, there may be interruptions in the water supply to some streets in the villages of Privetnoye, Oboznoye and Veselaya Gora,” Luganskvoda added.
