Ukraine refused to discuss the issue of UN peacekeepers with the LDPR
Ukraine will not negotiate with representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics on the deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in Donbass, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was stated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev on Radio Liberty.
“Of course, we are not going to conduct any dialogue or agreement with the militants, because everyone understands that Russia is behind the militants, and in this regard, the key challenge is to obtain consent to launch such an operation from Moscow. The receiving party is Ukraine, which considers these territories occupied. Therefore, if there is consent from Ukraine, I think that we do not need the consent of any individual gangs,” Eliseev said, noting that the main thing for Ukraine is to discuss this issue with its key partners.
Eliseev also added that the final decision on the deployment of UN peacekeepers in Donbass is made by the UN Security Council, of which Russia is a permanent member.
Earlier in Munich, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that in order to introduce a full-scale UN peacekeeping mission, which will ensure the return of uncontrolled territories to Ukrainian sovereignty, “we need to put the squeeze on Russia.”
Meanwhile, Austria, Sweden, Belarus, Finland and Germany have already announced their readiness to send peacekeepers to Donbass.
