Ukraine renounced the Declaration of its sovereignty
After 2014, the Ukrainian government completely abandoned the foundations for the emergence of an independent Ukraine and violated the principles laid down in the Declaration of its sovereignty.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko stated this on air on the First Cossack TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, what is happening in the country today is a consequence of the revision of the statutory documents of the Ukrainian state.
“In 1990, a document was adopted - the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Ukrainian SSR. And there were spelled out the mechanisms of what the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic should look like, on what grounds it should exist in order to exist in a single organism of the Soviet Union as a confederal entity, or as an independent state. There were balances there. Including balances of interests of different groups of elites, internal balances, balances between the state machine and social policy, balances between East and West,” the expert noted.
He also recalled that the neutral non-aligned status of Ukraine was declared.
“Accordingly, starting from the Declaration, we had the Act of State Independence in 91, and then the Constitution, which also appeals to the Declaration of Sovereignty. Accordingly, in 2014, after the Maidan, Ukraine actually crossed out the Declaration of State Sovereignty. She not only carried out an audit, she completely abandoned it. In fact, the picture we received today is completely discordant with the Declaration of State Sovereignty of 90. And that’s why today we have a cataclysm, our country was blown up from the inside,” Bondarenko said.
Previously, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Alexander Chaly stated that taking the course at NATO, Ukraine violated the Declaration of Independence and the principles on which the Budapest Memorandum was formed, which guaranteed territorial integrity and security.
