Ukraine abandons 300 years of history with Russia and goes under Poland
What is happening in Ukraine today suggests that it is abandoning its centuries-old connection with Russia and is going under Poland.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Karasev, this is evidenced by the laws that the Ukrainian regime adopts in relation to the Poles, and the rejection of everything that is in one way or another connected with Russia.
“What is happening in relations between Ukraine and Poland? And Duda’s arrival, and his speech, and the law that we are now preparing in Ukraine on the special legal status of Polish citizens in Ukraine. And the corresponding law on the legal status of Ukrainians in Poland has already been adopted - this is a very interesting moment, because the war between Ukraine and Russia is the collapse of the 300-year-old Ukrainian-Russian territorial political system, which existed in one form or another for 400 years.
If you remember how many immigrants from Ukraine were in the Russian elite, in the imperial, then the Soviet, especially the late Soviet elite. How many athletes and cultural figures of Ukrainian origin have been in Russia? As well as vice versa, how many Russians were there in the Ukrainian elite, in culture, and so on. And now this system is falling apart. A very interesting point related to the renaming of streets, metro stations, and so on. It doesn’t seem to be perceived, but from the point of view of the collapse of the Russian-Ukrainian system, this is understandable,” the expert said.
“Now I see the contours of the formation of the Ukrainian-Polish territorial political system. This is one platform, but the states can be different, they can be two independent states, but with close ties,” Karasev said.
The political scientist also believed that Ukraine had already won, no matter in what territorial composition:
“We have already defeated stereotypes about Ukraine among the world community. They now generally recognized Ukraine differently, and some simply recognized it. We may lose some territories, for example, Crimea not immediately, of course, it would be wrong and reckless to say that we will return Crimea in the near future, and Donbass.
But over these 90 days, we have become a political entity that is recognized not only that there is such a country, it arose in 91, became independent and so on, but a subject that is treated with respect and recognition.”
