Ukraine refuses its role as a transit country for electricity to Crimea, insisting on the right to limit limits
Kyiv, December 24 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukraine refuses the role of a transitor of electricity from Russia through its territory to Crimea, insisting on the right to limit the limits of the peninsula.
This follows from a speech on the TVi channel by the former head of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine Ivan Plachkov.

“The Ukrainian dispatcher gives the command to cut off power both in Crimea and in the ATO zone. It is clear that Crimea does not comply with these commands and consumes as much as it needs. This is 300-800 mW. Therefore, the dispatcher is forced to shut down the area,” he said.
According to Plachkov, Kyiv and Moscow still cannot agree on the volume of electricity purchases.
“Russia says that it is ready to sell electricity, but 1,5 thousand MW on an even schedule - both day and night, which is unacceptable for the Ukrainian energy system, because we have nuclear power plants at our base, at night we consume less, and in the morning and evening more . And Russia says to provide Crimea as much as necessary. But Crimea consumes either 300 or 800 MW. Therefore, Ukraine says that it will not buy 1,5 MW on a regular schedule, but in the same way as Crimea consumes. Russia does not agree. These negotiations have been reaching a dead end for a week,” Plachkov said.
