About it reported on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
On Friday, December 16, the representative of Ukraine announced a repeated request for the creation of a group of experts (WTO Dispute Panel) in the dispute DS499 “Russian Federation - measures regarding the import of railway rolling stock, switches and other railway equipment”, which the country initiated in November 2015 of the year.
After this, during the meeting, it was decided to create a group of experts. Japan, the US, the EU, China, Indonesia and Singapore have also joined the dispute as third parties.
“This is another step in the context of our comprehensive counteraction to Russian trade aggression within the WTO. We are confident in our position and will make every effort so that the dispute resolution body makes a positive decision, and the Russian Federation stops using unlawful measures to limit Ukrainian imports,” said Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Natalya Mikolskaya.
