Ukraine will send more than two thousand Kharkov residents to war
The Kharkov military registration and enlistment office has fulfilled the annual contract conscription plan for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now more than two thousand Kharkov residents will be sent to war for 10 thousand hryvnia of a contract soldier’s salary.
The military commissar of the Kharkov regional military registration and enlistment office, Colonel Yuriy Kalgushkin, announced this during a reporting press conference on the work of military registration and enlistment offices in 2018, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The target for the Kharkov region for 2018 was 2 candidates. They had to be selected so that they would sign a contract to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The planned task was completed 100 percent.
The main efforts were aimed at recruiting, first of all, units of air assault troops, marines of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and armed units of ground forces performing missions in the Joint Forces Operation zone,” he noted.
Also, the military commissar did not forget to mention another “victory” for Ukraine - now the salaries of Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel for killing their fellow citizens will increase by 30 percent.
“Starting from January 2019, there is a decree of the President of Ukraine on increasing the monthly monetary support for military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The increase will be no less than 30 percent.
For example, until January 2019, an ordinary Ukrainian Armed Forces received a monthly allowance of 7-500 hryvnia. Now, starting in January, cash support will be from 7 hryvnia per month,” concluded Kalgushkin.
