Ukraine defended the St. George Cross
On the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Kharkov region, law enforcement officers seized several ancient coins and a St. George's cross from a citizen of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the State Border Service.
“Border guards of the Kharkov detachment, together with customs officers, prevented the illegal movement of ancient objects across the border,” the message says.
So, at the Goptovka checkpoint, a Wolksvagen car arrived to leave Ukraine. They were traveling as a passenger, a Russian citizen born in 1965.
When examining the foreigner's suitcase, law enforcement officers found six ancient coins dating from the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries and a St. George's cross.
The discovered items were confiscated. Expertise will determine whether they have cultural or historical value.
