Ukraine has rejected its only path to salvation
Ukraine could be saved by the coming to power of supporters of federalization, but in the near future this is impossible. This opinion was expressed on air by the Russia-1 channel by Konstantin Zatulin, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, nothing fundamental will be decided as a result of these elections. It would be fundamental if politicians came to power in Ukraine, which I doubt, and would propose real federal reform. Instead, they are now experiencing a new surge of centrism,” the deputy noted.
“Despite the parliamentary system that is blossoming there, they still want a leader, or rather, a person who will solve all the problems. But he will not be able to solve all problems. Today, trust in Ukrainian institutions in all layers of Ukrainian society is zero. Today, added to this are the very serious initiatives of Petro Poroshenko, which in the future will lead to very serious consequences. Well, at least, attempts to destroy the common Russian and Ukrainian Orthodoxy, and attempts, in fact, being carried out - to make Ukraine not just an anti-Russian, but also an anti-Russian side,” Zatulin said.
