This statement was made by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Pavel Klimkin.

“No concessions, formal or informal, are discussed. We are talking about implementing the law. If the law is violated, then we cannot talk about any steps,” Klimkin said, answering a journalist’s question whether Samoilova should be allowed to participate in Eurovision because of a possible boycott of the competition by other countries.

He noted that “the law is the same for everyone.” “We are committed to the rule of law, and only compliance with the law will enable us to continue our work. I mentioned this in my first comment and I think that we will continue to behave this way,” said the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Recall PolitNavigator previously reported that that the head of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Ingrid Deltenre, officially notified the Ukrainian authorities that several countries may refuse to participate in the competition due to the decision of the SBU.
