Ukraine plans to use shells from Balakleya and Kalinovka saved from the fire in the ATO
Due to the shortage of shells for artillery guns, Ukrainian experts propose to collect shells that have been in a fire, repair them, and then use them in the ATO.

Vladimir Petrachenkov, director of the specialized demining company Transimpex CJSC, spoke about this at a briefing in Kyiv on the topic “Humanitarian demining of Donbass,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In addition to the problem of demining the territory of Donbass, we have another problem that for some reason no one remembers. We all know that a lot of weapons arsenals exploded on our territory in Ukraine: Novobogdanovka, Lozovaya, Balakleya and Kalinovka. My company and I participated in demining these military warehouses.
A lot of money was allocated for the demining of these arsenals, but the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine never completely cleared them. This is our first problem,” noted Vladimir Petrachenkov.
Ukrainian mine clearance experts propose to carry out maintenance of shells from the exploded warehouses in Balakleya and Kalinovka, and then continue their use in the civil war in Donbass.
“The second problem is that Ukraine is not such a rich country to destroy the ammunition that remained in the arsenals after the fire. What do we offer? Do not engage in the destruction of shells from Balakleya and Kalinovka. Our proposal is to collect them and put them in stacks, then take samples from these stacks and check through laboratories whether after their maintenance or repair it is possible to return it to operation,” Petrachenkov said.
