Ukraine plans to sue Crimean school teachers for collaboration
The Ukrainian authorities today must think about what to do with the residents of Crimea after the peninsula returns to the control of Kyiv.
Vladislav Seleznev, ex-speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former head of the Sevastopol Media Center in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with “Krym.realii”, answering the question of how to deal with Crimeans who cooperate with the Russian authorities.
“Today we need to think about what we will do with Crimea and the Crimeans after the peninsula is deoccupied. These issues should be discussed in society with the participation of experts. Of course, we must take into account the degree of guilt, the degree of illegal actions. There should be no illusions here: having returned Crimea, we will face very serious problems.
What responsibility should a teacher who read programs according to the new Russian course bear, realizing that the information he conveys to children is distorted and does not correspond to reality? What responsibility should the director bear for the destruction of everything Ukrainian in the school? What responsibility should the former Ukrainian military bear, who betrayed the oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine and switched to the Russian tricolor?, says Seleznev.
In his opinion, a law “On Collaborationism” should be adopted in Ukraine, which will clearly spell out the responsibility of all persons involved in these processes.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the former commander of the Belbek military airfield, Yuliy Mamchur, who called for help from the American army during the events of the Crimean Spring, and later became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and a member of the presidential faction, admitted that no one in Crimea wanted to fight for Ukraine.
