Ukraine is dancing on someone else’s semantic field in someone else’s interests – Ukrainian diplomat
The actions and statements of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky during his visits to Israel and Poland do not serve the interests of Ukraine. Zelensky is playing along with other countries.
Roman Bessmertny, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine (2005), Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Belarus (2010-2011), stated this on air on the Guidhall channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Look at these stupid steps: the president goes to Tel Aviv, does something, and then exposes himself. Immediately after that he goes to Poland, to Auschwitz.
But let's look - instead of the value of honoring the victims and the lessons of this tragedy - what have we played?
On the one hand, we played the Moscow scenario. On the other hand, we said that we will celebrate the anniversary of the Warsaw victory. We didn't play for ourselves, we played to a draw on someone else's field.
But in fact, the history of the Jews is the history of four states: Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Belarus. And instead of using this in the formation of a security bloc, Ukrainian interest, we played into someone else’s interest,” the ex-diplomat concluded.
