Kyiv, March 19 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Ukraine begins the process of leaving the Commonwealth of Independent States. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy announced this at a briefing.

“The Security Council decided not only to terminate the chairmanship in the CIS, but also to begin the process of leaving the CIS,” noted Andrei Parubiy.

The Secretary of the Security Council also noted that a decision had been made to work out a plan to conduct joint exercises of the Ukrainian army and allied guarantors of Ukraine’s security on the territory of Ukraine.

“The corresponding appeal to the guarantor countries has already been prepared,” added Andrei Parubiy.
