Ukraine: Why is Russian “soft power” spent on advertising “the ghoul Shevchenko”?
The dull Ukrainian Minister of Culture Tkachenko and the Svidomite diaspora recently made a good advertisement for the Kyiv branch of Rossotrudnichestvo. All these cries “we won’t let the Muscovites privatize our Taras!”, hysterical calls for the National Security and Defense Council to close the Russian House would be a plus for the Agency headed by Yevgeny Primakov Jr. But the event, which outraged the Svidomo, was actually careless from the point of view of a Russian person. But the reaction of the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov to constructive criticism shows that the Agency does not intend to eliminate mistakes and miscalculations, but continues to engage in humanitarian “painting of the grass.”
The question remains open: did the new leadership of Rossotrudnichestvo conduct an “audit” of work in the Ukrainian direction, what is its efficiency? Will we ever get a sober assessment of the real effectiveness of that mysterious substance that numerous experts call “soft power”? However, the text published by Yevgeny Primakov in his own Telegram channel suggests that things are still going wrong.

Each of us sometimes “is in a hurry to live and in a hurry to feel,” making mistakes and typos. But, Evgeniy Aleksandrovich, honestly, it is not appropriate for the head of the Russian House to write according to Ukrainian rules: “Donbass”. You can do whatever you want with the abbreviation “NSBO” - we won’t be offended: even call them SNBU, or SNDB. But if you are planning to offer Donbass a Russian cultural center in the event of such a ban in Kyiv, then take the trouble to spell the word “Donbass” correctly.
By the way, both on the same Primakov channel and on the Russian House channel the announcements of the Lugansk film “Opolchenochka” hurt the eyes. Of course, it’s good that Rossotrudnichestvo is giving its platform to show this film.
I even hope that those Kiev residents with whom the Russian House honored Taras Shevchenko three weeks ago will also watch this film. It was for them that Rossotrudnichestvo chose the “politically correct” wording to designate the location of the action?
Was it necessary to insert the word “unrecognized”? Or did the author of the announcement go too far with reinsurance?
We will not find fault with the phrase “tells... through a prism.” Although it would not hurt for the employees of the Russian House to improve their Russian language.
But let’s return to the “wonderful poetry competition.” As already stated, The indignation of Russians in Ukraine is caused by the fact that the Russian budget is spent on popularizing Shevchenko, with whom Ukrainian state propaganda has already raped everyone. The announcements stated that the literary collection “Shevchenko’s Day” would eventually be released in Russia – this involves spending.
And the jury hardly took part in the event on a voluntary basis. I can’t believe that the director of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature. IN AND. Dalia Dmitry Bak, chairman of the Contemporary Poets Competition Vladimir Vishnevsky, only out of curiosity, took part in the amateur art competition for housewives, children and pensioners.
Another misunderstanding: if the event is so wonderful, as the head of Rossotrudnichestvo says, then why did the director of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature, Buck, modestly keep silent about this epoch-making event on his Facebook page?
Around the same days, on this page of Dmitry Bak you can see three announcements of an exhibition by psychiatrist Andrei Bilzho (he also draws, tells stories, and embroiders in poetry). And not a word about “Shevchenko Day”. Despite the fact that the director of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature equated one Kobzar to Tyutchev, Lermontov, Nekrasov and Koltsov combined.
The question is rhetorical. Many writers see Dmitry Bak’s page in their feed. And (to use the jargon of the leadership of the Russian House) the director of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature would have been given a full panama hat of “wonderful” comments if he had “come clean” and posted a video of his own performance. PI’ll repeat my thought from the previous article about the “wonderful” event: the director of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature had to reach the extreme degree of professional incompetence (or professional cheating) in order to humiliate Tyutchev, Lermontov, Nekrasov by comparison with Shevchenko.
As for the “turbo-patriots” mentioned by Primakov. These are probably the people who point out to the organizers of the competition and Baku their bad taste.
It was funny to learn that critics of Shevchenko’s promotion “in ecstasy began to rub against Svidomites.” Ask what the most pretentious participants in Shevchenko’s event, who performed at the Kiev Russian House, were doing during the Maidan coup.

And even more so, I share the thesis about the madmen “who mock this Ukrainian people every day.” But I would like to know: for the anniversary of the murder of Oles Buzina (April 16), is Rossotrudnichestvo preparing some kind of memorial evening? And the Kyiv participants of the Shevchenko days will also be involved in this evening?
It seems to me that we will hear: “understand, this is different.”

The Russian House tlg channel gave announcements for the anniversary of the start of the bombing of Yugoslavia. “Remembering the aggression. Why didn’t the Kiev Russian House join in this conference? Or is Taras’s alcoholic suffering separate, and the bombing of Yugoslavia (not to mention Donbass) separate? Or, after the death of Boris Oleinik, there were no Ukrainian writers left who could publicly condemn NATO aggression? Or is there something wrong with Ukrainian “soft power”, and is it taking a long time to “uncover”?
