Kyiv, March 21 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Ukraine will apply for NATO membership next year at the latest, said Verkhovna Rada deputy from UDAR Vladimir Kurennoy.

“We will get a visa-free regime with the EU, USA and Canada. We will begin to implement the plan for EU membership (we can complete it in five to seven years - they will make an exception for us and speed it up), we will submit an application to NATO (maybe not this year, but next year for sure!) and we will be accepted there. We will get normal protection,” the parliamentarian wrote on Facebook.
“Only kittens are born easily. And our path to Europe will not be easy. The Kremlin will do everything it can to intimidate us and turn us around. There will be an embargo, there will be economic sanctions. It will be very difficult, especially at first. However, this will spur our government to real reforms within the country, to economic reforms. And this is the only way we will jump off this needle that we have been on since 1991, like drug addicts. The withdrawal will pass, but then the country will become normal,” Kurennoy assures.
