“A Ukrainian family spends 55% of its total income on food. This is an average-income Ukrainian family, and low-income ones – up to 80%.
Moreover, according to international criteria, food danger occurs when 60% of total household expenses are spent on food. We have almost reached the border of food security,” he said.
The average European family spends 12-16% of their income on food, a Russian family – 32%, a Belarusian – 36%, the expert added.
