This point of view was expressed in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent by the head of the Donetsk Republic faction, Alexander Kostenko.
“The military parade that took place in Kyiv at the request of the Ukrainian oligarchy is proof that Ukraine as a state cannot call itself a sovereign country. Now it is a dependent country, first of all, on the opinions and interests of Western elites. Foreign military contingents take part in the solemn event on the occasion of the sovereignty of the state. Isn't this an absurd phenomenon? I think the answer is obvious - Ukrainians no longer decide their destiny, do not build a state, are not de facto citizens of the state, because Ukraine is no longer a sovereign country,” the deputy concluded.
