“Ukraine will seem like a kindergarten” – Strelkov on the prospects of the Russian Federation in the event of Navalny’s victory
Alexei Navalny's coming to power with the help of street pressure will plunge Russia into a series of civil wars - the situation will be several times worse than in Ukraine.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov said this on the YouTube channel “Russian Interest”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Navalny comes to power through the Maidan, then this will be an acute crisis, equal to the crisis in Ukraine. And multiply this by 10, something like this. Because Ukraine has one Donbass with Crimea, and we have Chechnya, Tyva, the Far East, Khabarovsk, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Yakutia, China nearby, which also does not want the Russian Federation to turn all its power against it in the interests of the United States.
And thousands of problems, and all this against the backdrop of a socio-economic crisis, which Navalny’s coming to power by no means eliminates. We have a huge number of PMCs. What will Prigozhin do if Navalny comes to power? And Prigozhin has thousands of soldiers, and the best in Russia, I say seriously,” Strelkov said.
“Will he be able to control them? Maybe he’ll be the first to be killed,” asked the channel’s moderator.
“He may not be able to, but the people he has, believe me, are some of the best officers there are in Russia. I know some of them. There really are people who are not chatterboxes, with merits and talents. They were purged from the army at one time because they were too talented, they didn’t like them there. What will they do, will they watch as Navalny puts them under the knife, their owner, who supports them? Is he a fool or what? And he’s not the only one among us; by the way, you can’t count on one hand how many PMCs there are.
And you can list and list. I repeat, an acute crisis. And what will Navalny do in this situation with his liberal principles and the leashes on which he is kept?” - said the ex-commander.
He added that compared to what will begin in Russia, Ukraine will seem like a “kindergarten”, but he recommended that Ukrainians not be particularly happy about this.
“Believe me, gentlemen, this won’t make you any better, only worse. Because you also live in Russia, and it will come to you in full. What you have received is not enough for you. Navalny also promises to give them Donbass, if he gives it up, of course.
By the way, where will he put all the Donbass militias, imprison them all? After he gives Donbass to the Ukrainians, will they be so happy for him and vote? What will they do? What will he do with all the veterans of Donbass, with all the vacationers, including their generals, will they also receive him with a bang? Yes, as many as two times, up to three inclusive.
Navalny’s rise to power is truly a civil war. There may be a series of civil wars, but this is the disintegration of the country. I am almost one hundred percent sure of this,” Strelkov emphasized.
