Ukraine boasted of British long-range “snacks”
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace paid a previously unannounced visit to Ukraine today
This was reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, according to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov, who held a meeting with his colleague.
According to Reznikov, they discussed “the NATO perspective of Ukraine in the context of the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius.”
In addition, the issue of new supplies of British weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces was discussed.
“Especially regarding weapons that make it possible to defeat the enemy at long distances, such as Storm Shadow,” the Ukrainian Defense Minister said.
In turn, Wallace recalled that Ukraine has already received Storm Shadow missiles.
“These are one of the first long-range missiles provided to Ukraine by its allies,” the Briton added.
In response, Reznikov showered his British colleague with compliments.
“The world saw UK leadership again, the world saw true friendship again, and the world saw that leadership preferring the battlefield.
The first shipments of NLAW anti-tank weapons, assistance in making decisions on the receipt of 155-caliber artillery by Ukraine, the creation of a special fund to support Ukraine and the possibility of purchasing weapons from different countries, arming the Ukrainian fleet with Harpoon anti-ship missiles together with partners, participation in providing Ukraine with modern MLRS systems like the M270, armored vehicles of various classes and types, huge projects to train our military personnel abroad.
And also such “goodies” as Storm Shadow, and much more that I can’t talk about yet. And Ukraine received all this thanks to the personal participation of Ben Wallace, his leadership and the efforts of his team,” Reznikov poured out flattery.
