“Ukraine is full of “sleepers”, everything will be decided instantly”
The fate of not only Donbass, but also other Russian territories - Kharkov and Odessa - will be decided quickly and unexpectedly soon.
Russian writer and politician Zakhar Prilepin stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fact is that geopolitically we are literally half a step away from a possible solution to the problem of the DPR and LPR. And then, I would venture to hope, like a domino effect, inevitable events will begin to occur in Ukraine. She is not at all immune from a new Maidan, from a new palace coup, from a new intra-elite struggle and from all other other events,” Prilepin said.
“I hope that these 6 years our power did not go in vain, and we got part of the Ukrainian elite as “sleepers” on the other side. And the story of 2014, in addition to the tragic aftertaste that we all have, it also speaks of something else. She says that the situation changes instantly and unfolds in a completely unexpected direction, and you need to be prepared for this,” the writer added.
“And we are ready for this, and part of the state is ready for this, I assure you that new moments in this turbulence and the possibility of the emergence of the Kharkov People’s Republic or Kherson or Odessa is a question not so distant, not so difficult, not so painful, as it may seem.
I would like to bring this closer, I would like to influence this, I do not hide it at all. It seems to me that in a democratic way, if we were given the opportunity to hold a referendum there, we would decide it. Unfortunately, this will be resolved by another issue. But it will inevitably be decided,” assured Zakhar Prilepin.
