Ukraine received a red card
A large international company that advises businessmen and potential investors, Pricewaterhouse, has given Ukraine a “red card” due to the colossal level of corruption in the country.
Former head of the SBU Igor Smeshko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, if in civilized countries the level of corruption in business is no more than 25%, then in Ukraine it reaches 75%.
Pricewaterhouse conducted research in the 16th and 17th years on the level of corruption. Surveys among entrepreneurs who do business. In '16 we had 56%, now we have 75%. That is, 75% is the level of corruption that entrepreneurs face. The average for all developed countries is no more than 25%. Beyond 25% is already a red card, that the economy is sick, the law enforcement system is not functioning and this is a threat to internal national security,” Smeshko said.
Previously, experts from the World Economic Forum recognized Ukraine as the least corrupt among all corrupt countries, putting it on a par with Sierra Leone, Gambia and Iran.
