Ukraine received a spanking from the EU
The free trade area with the EU, which will begin to operate in full on September 1, will not compensate Ukraine for its severed ties with Russia. Political scientist Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.

“The European Union has its own rules. Ukrainian goods do not correspond to them by 98–99 percent. Ukraine will simply repeat the sad path of Moldova, which in this way tried to reorient itself there, and, as Grandfather Shchukar said, received a beating,” Gasparyan said.
In his opinion, Ukrainian politicians, while promoting European integration, are engaged in populism, taking advantage of the fact that Ukrainian society does not understand political and economic issues.
“It will be the same as with visa-free travel, when the overwhelming majority expected that they would be given a patent to work. No one told them that this was just a tourist story. Therefore, as soon as visa-free travel was introduced, it immediately disappeared from the information space. The average person felt deceived,” Gasparyan said.
